“Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it.” – Haruki Murakami

Death Taught Me…

1. Bad Things Happen Beyond Your Control- Life is all about balance. There’ll be some days you cry and some days you smile so be prepared for both.

2. Death is Inevitable- No one lives forever. Death is a part of life.

3. Stop Procrastinating- Stop putting your dreams off until tomorrow because tomorrow does not exist. It is not promised. You don’t know if you’ll live another day so live everyday like it’s your last.

4. Ask for Help

5. Spend More Time with the People You Love

6. Be Grateful- Even during the worst time, there is something to smile about. Choose happiness and positivity every day so that you don’t waste a moment of your life being miserable.

 7. Take More Pictures- Enjoy the moment but capture it as well. When life comes to an end, all you have left is pictures. Pictures tell a story, and you want to ensure yours is told accurately.

 8.  Always Speak Your Truth

9.  Live Life with No Regrets- Do everything that makes you happy.

10.  Life Goes On- Unfortunately, the world doesn’t stop when someone dies.

11.  LIVE! Live! live!

Motivational Speaker, Les Brown once said, “The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

I don’t want to be that person. Every day I am working towards turning my dreams into my reality because my life matters!!! My existence matters!!! I will leave my mark on the world.

If someone close to you passed away, I hope one of these life lessons help you push forward.

Unfortunately, we’re all going to lose some of the people we love the most.

cherish your memories.
