4 Things to Do When You Feel Like Giving Up

If you didn’t know, I am launching a personal growth journal for women on March 22, 2022! It is full of gentle reminders, journal prompts, and self-care activities to guide you on your personal growth journey. STAY TUNED!

While I was creating the journal, I almost gave up. Fear, self-doubt, and overthinking started creeping up on me. I know I'm not the only one who has felt this way, so I wanted to share some tips for how to stay motivated when you feel like giving up.

Here are 4 Things You Can Do

REMEMBER YOUR WHY:

Why did you get started? What impact do you want to make in the world? Who do you want to serve? How do you want to be remembered?

Last year when I decided to create the Nurture Your Soul journal, the first thing I did was write down my why. One of the main reasons I created this journal is because I want my 7-year-old daughter to know that she can do anything she puts her mind to. I want her to know that she can turn her dreams into reality as well. I also created this journal because I want to encourage women, especially moms to make themselves a priority. I want women to reach their fullest potential and become the best version of themselves.

FIND YOUR MOTIVATION

From books to podcasts, there are so many ways to stay motivated. Last month my book club and I read Feeding the Soul by Tabitha Brown and it was everything I needed to hear right now. One of my favorite quotes from the book was, “Some of the biggest moves you’re ever going to make are the ones that scare you while you’re making them.” I loved this quote because it resonated with me so much! Tabitha is right. The goals that require you to step out of your comfort zone are the ones that are going to take you the furthest.

WRITE IN YOUR JOURNAL

Take some time to reflect. Release your negative thoughts and create positive ones. Write down a few positive affirmations that you can recite every day. For the past month I've been intentional about writing in my journal everyday, even if it’s only for 5 minutes. I love to write so I’ve been writing myself letters of encouragement to remind myself I can do hard things. If you need journal prompts, click here:  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCF6Z...  I post new journal prompts on my Youtube every Sunday!

TAKE A BREAK

Your body and your mind need time to rejuvenate. A break will help you regain clarity and give you the opportunity to reconnect with yourself. A few weeks ago I decided to take a break from social media to work on the journal, reconnect with myself, and spend quality time with my family. It helped tremendously!

Sis, if you are currently starting a business, building a brand, or launching a product soon, I just want to remind you that no one is you! No one can create the product/service that was put on your heart. Keep going!
